About the Kansas City Market
Why invest in the Kansas City market? Good question, and one that I frequently get from investors around the country. One thing to understand about Kansas City is that our market has been much more stable than the markets on the East and West Coast. We have enjoyed a very stable employment rate, our housing prices are right around the national median, and unlike those markets on the coast we did not have the huge price swings in real estate during the last recession.
With real estate being as affordable as it is in the metro, it makes it a little easier to find properties that are affordable and offer good cash flow to the buy and hold investor. All of this of course depends on the areas you choose to invest in and what your ultimate goal is when it comes to real estate investing.

Entry Level: $45,000-$85,000
Mostly small single family homes in C class neighborhoods.
Mid Level: $85,000-$175,000
Single and multi family homes in C and B neighborhoods.
Upper Level: $250,000 and up
Single family homes in A class neighborhoods or small apartment complexes.
