I have lived in Western North Carolina since 1996 and know the neighborhoods and surrounding towns well. I became an investor in 2003, when my partner and I purchased a 5 bedroom, 1 bath home, which was slated for demolition and renovated it into a 3/2. I still own that home today and profit around $400/mo. My partner and I then purchased another home as an investment that was an REO - reverse mortgage. He still owns that home.

My background is in computers and marketing. I can investigate any property and find it's owner. I was employed at a large local firm as their IT support and worked with 400 agents one-on-one over the 2 years I was there.

I started my own firm in 2017 and have 20 agents. One of them is on the rental management side of RE.

Market Overview

Asheville, NC and the surrounding area is a hugely popular destination city. Even during the pandemic, tourists still flocked to our mountains. We were named "Beer City" 2 years in a row because of the numerous breweries here. We have a few local colleges. Many people own second homes here from Florida and other nearby states. California knows our city as the "Sedona of the East". There are too many golf courses to count here and the outdoor activities are limitless. Everyone wants to be here!

Investment Price Points

Inside or near the city, decent homes begin around $300k. You can find some diamonds in the rough that may be priced around $200k. Our area is very affluent and appreciation doesn't seem to slow here. We have many homes in the $1,000,000 + range.
